Boggart?

They are a mischievous sprite from Northern England: a malevolent little creature that causes various nuisances, such as making things vanish, souring milk, and crippling dogs. Always up to no good, the boggart hides beneath bridges, within stone walls, in outhouses, and among dense thickets, reveling in the fright it instills in anyone who crosses its path.

According to legend, Boggarts hold an annual festival during September and October, reaching its peak on Halloween. They indulge in potent wines crafted from local berries, celebrating the frights they unleashed upon humans throughout the summer months. They often drink to excess, forgetting to conceal themselves during daylight, which ultimately results in them being magically turned to stone in the morning sun.
